Hearing Witnesses to Urge IRS to Exclude All Orphan Drugs from Prescription Drug Fee

The Internal Revenue Service should allow all drugs and products used to treat rare diseases and conditions, known as orphan drugs, to be exempted from prescription drug fees, pharmaceutical and biotechnology company representatives are expected say at a Nov. 9 hearing on proposed regulations (REG-112805-10) on branded prescription drug fees.
