Copyright Implications of Mass Book Digitization



Dec. 19 (Bloomberg Law) — In “Legal Issues in Mass Digitization,” the United States Copyright Office provides a comprehensive analysis of the state of the law as it applies to efforts to preserve books by creating digital versions of them. The topic received widespread media attention when a proposed settlement of the Google Book Search litigation was rejected by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
